Primary Purpose: The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing office tasks, with a strong emphasis on data entry, maintaining and improving donor relations, and employing accounting skills. Previous experience in a non-profit environment is highly valued.

This is not a complete list of this position’s duties and responsibilities. The items below are examples of the types of activities performed. Other duties may be assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Donor Relations:
  • Data Management: Maintain and update donor databases with accurate and current information.
  • Communication: Assist in drafting and sending donor acknowledgment letters, thank-you notes, and other communications.
  • Event Support: Aid in executing fundraising events (some weekends)
  • Donor Inquiries: Respond to donor inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing information and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Relationship Building: Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with donors through regular communication and engagement.
Finance Support:
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and donor management systems.
  • Donation Processing: Process incoming donations, ensuring proper documentation and timely deposit of funds.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Accounts Payable: Assist in managing accounts payable by uploading invoices to our accounting system, verifying the proper approval channels have been met, and ensuring the information is accurate and complete.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both physical and electronic.
Administrative Support:
  • General Office Duties: Answer phones, manage correspondence, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Project Assistance: Provide support on special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00-4:00pm

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
  • Experience with donor management and accounting software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A compassionate and understanding approach, aligned with the values and mission of Adult & Teen Challenge.

Work Environment: 83 Kate Street, Winnipeg MB, Shared Office Setting. Free onsite parking. 

Compensation

$45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
