Job Description: Sales Clerk / Production Worker
Department of Functional Area: Super Thrift
Reports To: Store Manager
About the Role:
This is a dynamic, dual-function position. This role will be both customer-facing and back-end operations of our thrift store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Clerk Duties:
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including greeting customers and answering questions.
- Operate the cash register, process transactions (cash, credit/debit), and manage end-of-day reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Production Worker Duties:
- Sort, clean, and categorize donated items (clothing, housewares, electronics, etc.).
- Inspect items for quality and determine their suitability for sale.
- Price and tag merchandise accurately according to established guidelines.
- Move and organize inventory in the back-of-house production area.
What You Are Required to Bring:
- A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling is a plus.
- 1 year of retail or production experience, Thrift experience an asset
Compensation
$16.00 per hour
